How to Use Pomarium Renaissance®

We create a refreshing, stand alone, non-alcoholic, craft beverage that is 100% the juice of crab apples (tiny apples). But it is unlike other juices. Bursting in colour, aroma, texture and taste. It is up to you to decide whether to drink it straight, dilute it, mix it, or cook with it.

Pomarium Renaissance fills a hole in a market that until now has been missing a sophisticated, non-alcoholic beverage. Not a shadowy, de-alcoholized version of some other 'real' beverage or a concoction. It has a single-ingredient...no added sugars or flavours. It is minimally processed and locally grown. Dress it up in a fancy glass and it can accompany you in style to any type of event. Mix with something carbonated and you've turned it into a refreshment.

Or mix with other beverages. Juices, green or black tea. Yogurt, kefir, or cultured buttermilk turn it into a delightful any-time-of-the-day smoothie.

At home we like a drink using 1/3 rhubarb juice, 1/3 Pomarium Renaissance and 1/3 banana peel tea. (To make the latter, freeze organic banana peels. Put frozen peels into boiling water. Bring back to a boil. Strain. Refrigerate. Drink hot or cold.

With Alcohol

Its distinctive red colour and complex flavour mean it can take the place of cranberry or green apple in many cocktail drinks... try it with Cosmopolitans, Margaritas, and Martinis. Works just as well with hard spirits as it does with sparkling white wine.

We've had customers report back that they like it best combined with light beer. You and your taste be the judge.

Cook with it and Then Drink it with Your Meal

Pomarium R. pairs well with a very wide range of foods and particularly well with spicy foods that overpower more mild-flavoured beverages.

It is equally adept at changing ordinary dessert recipes into superstars.  It won't take long to turn Pomarium R. into a pancake or waffle topping by reducing it a bit at low heat. Try this with pancakes and ricotta cheese. Spectacular.

We cook with it regularly, adding it to vegetables or meats as marinades, sauces and salad dressings. Try roasting carrots, onions, or parsnips with it. Or braising greens.
